How We Calculate Your Revenue Potential

Introduction

These projections are built on real data from Skool community launches across dozens of niches and platforms. Every number you see accounts for your platform's engagement patterns, your niche's conversion behaviour, your membership price, and a realistic 12-month growth curve based on how communities in your category actually scale.

How Does the Calculator Work and What Do the Numbers Mean?

The calculator runs four variables through industry benchmarks to estimate what your specific audience could generate as a paid Skool community. Here's what each one does and why it matters.

1. Platform Multiplier

Different platforms produce different conversion rates for paid communities — not because of audience size, but because of intent. YouTube viewers seek out educational content deliberately, which puts them closer to a buying decision. TikTok audiences are larger on average but scroll more passively. LinkedIn audiences are smaller but professionally motivated. Each platform carries a multiplier that reflects these real differences in conversion behaviour.

2. Niche Conversion Rate

Your niche determines how naturally your audience converts into paying community members. Business, AI, and finance audiences convert at 1.5–1.7% of active followers because the value is financially concrete — members can directly apply what they learn to make or save money. Lifestyle and gaming audiences convert at a lower rate because the value, while real, is harder to quantify. The calculator applies niche-specific conversion benchmarks based on real community launch data.

3. Membership Pricing

The price you charge directly affects both your MRR and your member count. Higher prices mean more revenue per member but a smaller converted pool. Lower prices widen the accessible audience but require more members to hit meaningful revenue. The calculator uses your input price to estimate realistic projected members and monthly revenue simultaneously.

4. 12-Month Growth Curve

Communities do not launch at full capacity. The calculator models a realistic ramp — showing projected members at months 1, 3, 6, and 12 — based on how communities in your niche and platform category typically grow. Month 1 reflects the launch cohort. Month 12 reflects a community with retention systems, quarterly challenges, and compounding word-of-mouth in place.

What the Numbers Don't Account For

The projection shows potential based on benchmarks. What you actually earn depends on the quality of your content, the trust you've built with your audience, how well the community is managed day to day, and whether the positioning and pricing are right for your specific followers.

The gap between a community that hits its projection and one that plateaus at $500 a month is almost always in the execution — the daily management, the onboarding structure, the retention strategy, and the quarterly revenue events. That's exactly what Welar is built to handle.
